	DEGREE OFFERED: MSc Genetic Counseling;Students who wish to be eligible for PhD have to submmit a research thesis. Most of the students submmit a lab research thesis. PREREQUISITES: BSc + a course of introduction to psychology or BA in psychology + a year of courses in Biology, Genetics and Human genetics. Our program is the only one in Israel. We accept 6-8 students every other year. Most of the students submmit a lab research thesis. Courses in Genetics and Human genetics CLASSES BEGIN: Every other year DURATION OF COURSE: Two years REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS:   CURRICULUM: First year clinical observation (two months): diagnosing genetic disorders. Second year clinical observation (two months):counseling issues. Two years seminar in Human Genetics, Basics in clinical genetics, Advanced clinical genetics, Practicing in genetic diagnostic laboratories, Human cytogenetics, Metabolic diseases, Molecular biology, Embryology, and Ultrasound of the fetus. Decision making, Genetic counseling workshop, Seminar in psychosocial aspects of genetic counseling. CLINICAL TRAINING: 1.First year clinical observation (two months): diagnosing genetic disorders. 2.Second year clinical observation (two months):counseling issues.
